~ Birthday Hair ~

Hello everyone! Here is my first hairstyle post. My daughter's birthday was Wednesday and she turned 9. I let her pick what hairstyle she wanted and this is what she chose. I got this from Babes in Hairland http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.babesinhairland.com%2F2008%2F12%2F4-corkscrew-twist.html&h=b01aa. She does some beautiful hairstyles on her daughters. She also has pics of step by step instructions and I'm not quite there yet. Working on though :) Anyway this is how it turned out for me. Hope you enjoy!

Just a quick step by step. First, I parted her hair staight down the center to make two equal sections of hair on either side of her head. I clipped off one side to keep it out of the way. On the side I left down. I parted it into four equal ponies and put them each in a clear elastic. Then I twist braided each strand. For this, you divide the pony in two equal parts and twist each individual part clockwise and wrap them together counter-clockwise. I put an elastic at the end of each strand to keep them in place also. Then I took the top two and started twisting them together adding in the other two as I got down to them. When I got to the end of the hair, I just twisted it into a bun and left the ends sticking out. Then I attached the little black flower and repeated these steps on the other side. It sounds like it takes forever, but it's not too bad.
So, here's the back view. I got the black flowers at Claire's. One of my favorite stores ever! They have amazing hair accessories and earrings and all other kinds of bling.

Once again, thanks to www.babesinhairland.blogspot.com for this do.
